Registration for our Recreational division for children ages 8 to 10 is open to both boys and girls. The teams are not co-ed. Children are separated by boys and girls into age groupings of 2 years. For instance, if your child is 7, he or she will be on a U8 team. “U” in this case means under. TN State Soccer Association rules state that we go by the age of the child on July 31, 2009. So, using the example above, if your child turns 8 on August 15, 2009, we would still place him/her in the U8 group because he/she would be considered to be 7. If you would like to have your child reviewed for higher placement, please contact the Redoubt Registrar.
Redoubt operates under a draft system in order to ensure that our teams are as equally matched as possible. We try to accommodate requests for children that car pool and parents who wish to coach their own children. We are limited to a few requests per team in order to maintain the balance on the teams.
Practices for this league are on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evenings and games are scheduled on a rotating basis on Friday and/or Saturday. By rotating the games, no one team gets the 8:00 am game on every Saturday.
What to Expect after you register:
You can expect your coach to call with your team assignment and practice date by Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010. Your Coach will bring the uniforms to the first practice. We use emails to communicate with parents regarding changes in schedules, etc. Please let your coach know if you do not check your emails frequently so we will use another method to communicate with you.
Registration fees for Rec players: $85.00:
Draft: Feb. 20, 2010. (Coaches only)
Spring Season Starts: March 5 and 6, 2010
We do not close for Spring Break. We will take a break the weekend of Easter which is April 2-3, 2010. The Coach from each team will work with the opposing team to work out a schedule for those dates. If the teams cannot play on the weekend without forfit, they will schedule a game during a regular practice date which is mutually approved.

Policies:
Refund Policy - If you request a refund prior to the first game, the registration fee will be refunded in full. If you have received a uniform, it must be returned before the refund will be issued. If you request a refund after the first game, we will only refund 50% of the registration fee. All refund requests must be addressed to the Registrar and must be made no later than mid-season. Please email askredoubt@redoubtsoccer.com or come by during our posted office hours to inform us of this request. PLEASE NOTE> If you registered on-line, the additional fee for registering on-line is NON-REFUNDABLE. Only the actual registration fees are subject to refund. Please allow for 3 weeks to process all refund requests.
Rain out policy: If a game is called for inclement weather, the game will be made up during the regularly scheduled practice time on Tuesday or Thursday evenings the following week.
